Hello Again!

I never meant to keep it silence but really, my life was too hectic to deal with. I am now working at Pasir Gudang, no longer traveling here and there or having my roller-coaster life at Nusajaya. I guess i was happier though it does give me headache sometimes. Will try to write again soon, more stories to come. Patience.

A Short One....

Cannot really write long as i am going out for lunch this afternoon to close my account at BSN. Have been neglected the account for nearly 7 years now and it is a bright sunny day today compared to yesterday. I suggest that you have this drink for lunch today to beat up the thirst. 'Milo Ais Tabur' is truly heaven. Try it on and you will be one satisfied customer...Huhuhu...You can find 'Milo Ais Tabur' almost everywhere but of course only here in Malaysia....

Treason

Treason. Some may not know what is it as they never heard of people using it. It is an old English word for betrayal, disloyality. I use it because i came from Literature background. That is why my taste of a movie is something like Lord Of The Ring because i linked to those characters i.e elves, dwarfs, knights and magic like the ones in some of my first Literature novels i learnt at uni.

Ok. Out of topic. The reason i am writing this is not to talk about Literature. I want to talk about life, people and their characters. I am not saying that i am a perfect human being but i cannot at all considerate people who are betrayers, backstabbers. No, i am not angry. I writing about it is just for the sake of sharing my thought, my experience.

I am a casual and impulsive writer. I like to observe and write about everything i like and even how i feel sometimes. My readers are various. Some of the writing or statuses are meant for public posting but those which i literally labelled it as private and personal are meant to be circulated only among family and friends and i never thought it could be misleading and door opening to a disaster. Evil. You are a horrid backstabber no matter who you are and what your intentions are. I hope you die in a car crash or strike by lightning. I hope you will lead a misfortune all your life. But then when i am all alone, sitting down in my most calm mode, i start to remember that everything happens for a reason. Praise to Allah for making me see all the goodness behind this evil deed instead of crying over it. Of course i believe in Kalam. Someday he / she will pay for it. Insyallah. Amin. And the most important thing, i do no harm to that person in return by looking at the bright sight.

Now i am moving on with my life. Silly me for thinking that they are my friends and the most trusted ones. I guess i was wrong. I learnt a good lesson from it and deleted them all. I could not be more happier to banish every single of them. No regret. Now i can sleep my nights peacefully, spend my time online without being watched and i guess i could pay less of it and concentrate more on other things and people who are matter the most to me. In real life, not virtually.

Smile. It is the best cure to get over it. Insyallah.

I was officially turned 35 last Thursday. Some people said i look younger. Happy. For this year celebration, we celebrated it at the Secret Recipe Plaza Pelangi. Yupp, we had a quality family time while enjoying our food that night. Alhamdulillah. I wish to be a better person, a good muslim, leading a quality life. I will try to mind my words, hope to have more money and lastly to be loved by everybody for who i am. Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin.

Thanks Ibu for bringing me into this world 35 years ago.

My Mobile Phone Transitions

When my friend, Chuck started to list down all the mobile phones she had and current in her Facebook statuses, i thought i would do the same, here in my blog. The following is a list of mobile phones from the first unit i owned until the latest. Oh boy! I have changed so much and every of it has its own story to tell....

My 1st phone; Motorola StarTAC V which my Dad gave me in the year 1999 when i have just entered uni (Credit to Google).

Meet my 2nd phone; Nokia 3310 bought by Papa when both of us were still dating. Somewhere in 2001. Because of this phone, i owed Celcom for almost RM2K. We were madly in love then. Silly us (Credit to Google).

My 3rd phone; Nokia 3650. And again, Papa bought it for me when i started working in 2003. It was one of the first Nokia phones with camera and everybody at the office was like wow! (Credit to Google).

My 4th phone; Nokia 6680. Papa bought it for me for my birthday in 2005. It was one of the first 3G phones Nokia has ever invented. Believe it or not, i have beaten up everybody at the office by being the first person who owned a 3G phone including the Directors! (Credit to Google).

Another latest phone at that time owned by me; The NSeries - Nokia N95 and it is a 3G phone. As usual, Papa bought it for me and it was 3 years back. At first i found it amazing but later beginning to hate it when i started to have problem with its sliding case (Credit to Google).

When i had enough with the NSeries, i changed to the ESeries. Meet my last phone from Nokia; N71 before i said goodbye to it. It was also bought by Papa 2 years back and i only used it for less than a year, the shortest period i ever used a phone before changing to a new one (Credit to Google).

.
My 7th and current phone; Blackberry Storm II 9520, the first smartphone i owned and even bought myself since forever. Since then, i have been wired online 247. Wanting to let it go soon and hoping to get a Bold from the same family. Insyallah. Amin. (Credit to Google).

It seems that i am not the only one who is facinated with the phone. Guess who is playing with it now?

It Is Her Birthday!

Areej has just celebrated her 6th birthday last week. It was a simple one but this time we chose to celebrate it at her school, with all her friends. Areej's face was glowing that day and i am glad that she enjoyed her birthday party. Happy birthday, Sayang and good luck in everything you do. You will always have both Papa and Mama by your side, to support and be your shoulder to cry on. I love you with all my heart because you are my only child and at this very moment, i begin to realize that my baby has grown-up...

Someone I Called 'Ibu' (Mother)

In my previous entries, i did mention about Ibu few times. Well today, i feel like telling the world about my Ibu and how special she is because i missed her today.

Most of Ibu's family side, called their mothers 'Ibu'. Even my cousins; Jasha, Norma and Satrea in Germany who are half Malay and half German call their mothers 'Ibu'. For me, the word 'Ibu' sounded softer compared to other names the Malays had called their mothers like 'Mak' and 'Umi'. Do not judge me. This is only my personal opinion. Everybody has their own thoughts and opinions, right?

Now back to Ibu. My Ibu is currently 62 years old. I used to live with her during my first years of marriage but after all, who wants to be left behind when everybody is looking for freedom and independence as a wife and mommie after being married. I want to live on my own, being able to cook my meals and be alone with my family. It is not that i do not like to be around her. I just want to experience how it feels to be starting our lives together both Farouk and i as a married couple by ourselves. On the other hand, i pity Ibu. She has been living on her own (Of course with my other siblings) since Ayah has decided to marry another. Although it was like 7-8 years ago, i can see that Ibu has been traumatized with the whole process and still is. I understand how she felt even after all these years as i was the one who witnessed everything, the sorrowness of her life.

I look upon Ibu as one tough lady. Although her heart laments, she is strong enough to take care of us all until we have finally made it with our careers and two of us ; Door (My elder sister) and i have married. One thing i truly admire about Ibu is her good nature for not doubting people although some may took advantage of her in various ways for that. She may be old but many people commented that she does not even look 50 herself. For me, she is still beautiful in her own way and still very much young at heart as you can almost share everything with her like bestfriends would do.

Ibu, i know that i may hurted you with my words because everytime it always come out straight away from my eccentric mind. To be frank, i did not mean to hurt your feeling but just want to tell you the truth and make you realize that world is not that kind anymore as you would imagine because you never judge and let people fooled you because of your good nature. The truth is, i love you so much and would not want to be the one witnessing the day you are going to leave us all. I pray that everything will turn out your way soon and will give everything i could to make you happy because you have suffered enough. I wish you all the best and will be there for you whenever you need me. Insyallah.

Last but not least, thank you Ibu for bringing me into this beautiful world.Thank you for guiding and comforting me during my rainy days. Thank you for everything. Long live, Ibu. And by the way, i get emotional while writing this.

Perfect Stranger

The day has finally come

And my heartbeat is running fast

As much as i wanted to tell you

Instead, i just come to say goodbye

I love the way you look at me

I love the way you smile

I love when our eyes met

Makes me want to reach out and cry

Good bye perfect stranger

Good bye beautiful monday

As much as i cannot let go and hold on closely

Sadly that is how it fated to be

Crush

(Credit to Google)

Have you ever bump into someone who gives you a long pleasant gaze that you never seemed to forget?

Have you ever thinking of someone so deeply that you almost cried?

Have you ever find yourself hoping that someone to be standing there waiting for you with arms wide open?

Have you ever wanting to be together with that someone despite of all circumstances?

Well it is not love, Darling.

It is just a crush.

You will soon forget him.

You will soon find it is silly.

You will soon laugh your heart out.

You will soon sleep tight at night and not finding yourself to dream about him anymore.

And the next day you woke up, the world is going to be the same again.

Sooner or later, you and your crush will be just another tale to tell about.

The love once felt.

That perfect stranger i met.

Merely A Love Story But It Was Not...

This one is an old story about 2 persons. He is in his mid 30s, good looking and works as a manager. She is indeed in her early 30s, tall, out-spoken and surely a hijabie. They met in 2008 and now, they are no longer friends. At least, i can confirm that.

It all began in one dark evening. It was supposed to be rain but it did not. He, as calm as always, was patiently waiting for someone but did not expect that it was her who finally turned up at the front of his door. So they met. From there, they began to know each other, became closer until one fine day when she soon realized that there is no point of having him in her life. Of course she misses him. Crazy if she does not. I bet that he must be thinking of her too. If not always, it must be at least once in a blue moon. He was once amazed by her and thought that she was different. I know. He told me so.

In the last message she received, he told her that he is leaving and was kind of hoping that they can still be friends. That was the last time she ever heard from him. The message was left silent and unreplied. Sad but that was the end of it. It was merely a love story but it was not. If you loved someone, you cannot assume that he / she will surely going to be yours. Let him / her go. If he / she comes back to you, that someone will be yours. If not, both of you were not meant to be right from the start...

How Does It Feels?

How does it feels to be able to wear expensive watch?

How does it feels to get it from your loved one?

I do not mean to show it off but at the moment, i feel loved and appreciated...

Over Love

Salam and hi again. Suddenly, i feel like writing because my heart tells me to. I had to be honest that i am a little bit down at the moment. Over love.

It has been a tough week for me as a parent when Areej was on her lowest key early this week. She has been quiet, inactive and i bearly hear her cheeky voice, laughing like always. She was very sick until both Farouk and i had to send her to Puteri. We spent 3 days and 2 nights there. It was tiring and we had to bear with it because she is our responsibility. And alhamdulillah.

Now she is picking up again. I can see that she is recovering but visually she seemed weak and cannot stop coughing almost all the time. I am glad for you, Areej because you are curing and has started to go to the kindergarden since yesterday after unable to attend it for number of days. I know that you missed school. I know that you missed your friends. They even called me yesterday. How cute for 5 years old girls to call each other just to say hello. It was not like that during my time.

And when you married someone, do you expect that the person will love you for the good and bad sides of you all the time? Yes, i do. I know that i have not been a perfect wife. I am not a good cook and i do agree that my look is beyond satisfactory. But i am ok with everything and have the confidence. You are not perfect either but are not love supposed to be perfect? I truly envy those sweet couples. They are still very much in love even after a long period of marriage. Can i be patient and pretend that nothing happen and hold on to the person i loved and very much in love still? At this moment, i seek for Allah's guidance for the sake of Areej. Dear Allah, please open our hearts, both Farouk and i to stay united and be more patient to get through with obstacles and hurdles in life. We are no longer young to be fighting and letting go everything for the name of love and happiness we once knew and believed in. Until the end of both our life. Amin.

Last but not least, below is a picture of Areej along with her cousins; Areesa, Sara and Sofea when they visited us on the 4th day of Eidul Fitri this year. They are close and i know that they missed each other.

My Best Friend:)

Salam and hello boys and girls. In this entry, i would like to talk about bestfriend(s). Do you have bestfriend(s)? Some of you might wonder why i put 's' in a bracket. It is just to indicate that some of you out there might have more than one bestfriend.

As a daughter to an Asistant District Officer (ADO), i have been always moved here and there within the district of Johor. I have lived in Pengerang when i was still a baby, in Johor Bahru when i was a toodler, in Mersing when i was five to seven years old, in Labis when i was eight to thirteen years old, in Tangkak when i was thirteen to sixteen years old and finally moved back to Johor Bahru for good right after i completed my Sijil Rendah Pelajaran (SRP). From the above description, you can imagine that i have been living in different districts, houses of course, changing schools and last but not least, meeting new friends and say good bye to the old ones.

From the life circle that i had during my childhood, i think it is rather hard for me to classify whether is there any of all the people i met in my life, is my bestfriend. For me, those who are close to me or at least were close before are or were my good friends. There are tons of different meanings between 'good' and 'best' if you were to compare. It is not their faults, it is not you and it is me. I personally is not the friendly kind of person who you can laugh your heart out during our first meeting. I rather sit back, watch them and see whether we can match up to each other personalities and behaviours. Since forever, most of the people have been labelling me as 'the girl with fierce look' or 'that unfriendly being' no matter whether it is in schools, during my uni years and even after i enter this corporate world. Those were first impressions from strangers who bearly knew me, who judged but never could see the real me if they were really my best pals.

I must admit that i am totally not so into social activities. No matter if it is fun in the sun with not so close beings or just a friendly talk to strangers. But it changes when i met my colleague, Zura. She is chubby, bubbly, extremely funny and i laughed my heart out when we were together. We shared lot of things together, gossipping, went to catch our favourite movies and spent time like a silly couple on those sleepless nights texting each other about life and feelings. It was so much fun even if we did argue about work and things we did not agree about.

That was before. It was like three years back and then she left me for good. Slightly one month before she left, we had our big fight. Yes, it did not happened for a long queque (two days) but then she told me that she is leaving Johor Bahru to obtain an Educational Certificate in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang in order for her to become a teacher. I remembered that we spent our last night together right after work until midnight, talking, crying and letting out the feelings about almost everything. That was the last time i ever see her in person and i must admit that she was and is going to be my bestfriend forever. She is my best buddy i have been searching my whole life and for right now, i miss her a lot.

Although i still keep her number, i only called her once and sent her few texts and that was it. I do not know why i never try to contact her. It might be because she is in my Facebook and i can still get updates on her life through statuses and photos she puts in her profile although she is not that active to share nowdays. I did asked her when shall we meet again? She said it is going to be in one fine day. Sweet.

Below is our photo together back in the old days and i really miss you, Zura....

Being Acrophobic

I used to be an aquaphobic but i have beaten it by learning how to swim. But then, few years ago, i learnt that i am also an acrophobic. Do you know what acrophobia is? Acrophobia is when you are afraid of height. Like myself, i cannot even stand a 4 storeys building like Kotaraya Johor Bahru. Although i have gone up to more than 30th floor of PETRONAS's Twin Towers (Tower 2 when i was attending a briefing like 2 years back) and even took a bucket to be on a big tanker in Tanjung Piai for several times but still, the fear has never seemed to fade away. The recent experience was when i took a roller coaster ride with height of 14 storeys building and speed of 90km/hr called Battlestar Galactica at the Universal Studios Singapore. Believe it or not, i even took few other roller coaster rides after that until i went dizzy. One of the scariest was Revenge Of The Mummy. Although it was an indoor ride like Space Mountain, the one i took in Disneyland; both are also in the dark until you cannot see a thing but the Revenge Of The Mummy was totally hellish because the ride went backward and glided us down few meters in completely darkness. Scary! Even scarier compared to Battestar Galactica (Both Cyclon and Human). Taking all these rides have made myself forget for once that i am the person who is afraid of height and when it was time to go to bed that night, the moment i closed my eyes, those scary minutes of gliding through every ride in the USS have started to appear one by one and keep on haunting me again and again repeatedly for quite some time.

I almost forgot that i enjoyed one roller coaster ride at Berjaya Cosmo World Theme Park when Farouk and i were still dating. I was a bit younger then. But if you ask me to experience it once more, now i rather sit back and surrender. I guess i am too old for all these....

Be Who You Are

Ayah had always told me when i was a little girl not to tell lies. I still remember that i have always get punishments whenever i told lies. He said when you started to tell lies, sooner or later you will become a thief. Want to know what he did? He whacked me with a feather duster. I know it was a bit nasty to do that to your children but i have learnt good lesson from it. I have turned out to be a better person and the most important thing, i am not a liar.

When i reached my adulthood, i train myself to speak only the truth. Ok, maybe most of the time, not all the time (I do tell those white lies sometimes). I know i must  have been hurted many people with my words while practising speak only the truth routine. In the community especially for us, the Malays, we are always taught to be polite. When we talk, we are always taught to mind words that we are going to utter. In Malay we call it, 'cakap beralas'. I know. But even with those 'cakap beralas', i do realize that not many of us can handle the truth, to be realistic and move on whenever they are stucked in the situation. Even myself. Sometimes i do feel reluctant to hear criticisms especially when it comes from Farouk. Hearing those unpleasant comments from him will get myself emotional. Most of the time, i just ignored but when it comes to priority, i do not have any choice but to improve. For instance, just face it, i am not a good cook. I never been to kitchen helping Ibu in my teen years. I only know how to cook rice when i first married Farouk and now after years and years of being married to him, i have improved. Not that fantastic yet but with some guidances from Farouk himself (He is quite established for what he loved most; to cook and enjoy the food), Ibu and of course, those receipe books, i can now cook a delicious dish of beef rendang (Rendang Terengganu) and the list went on. Even Areej also think some of it are delicious. Thank you, Sayang Mama.

In the world of man's domination, especially when you are working in the field where most workers are men, challenges are there and they are big challenges. Some men may think that i am either too fragile or incapable to travel here and there, under estimating what a woman can do in this man's world. Throughout 7 years of working, i have learnt many things apart from being taught a lot from those nicest bunch of experienced people like Abang Jamal and Mai especially on documentation and not to be suprised, i also make some new friends here. It is such a hard work but i do accomplished some of the skills while working in this field.

Pretty suprised when i was assigned to do other task starting from October last year plus another new task early this year. I accepted it with an open heart and prayed to God to give me guidances. Funny how people when they are sitting on a higher post they can totally changed to be someone different or maybe it is just me, being too naive to realize that they are obviously pretenders and when the time comes, their true colours will soon revealed. Have it your way then and to be honest, i have no regret.

What i know now is i missed Ayah terribly. I hope to visit him more often and be nice to him whenever i see him although i must admit, i had a pretty bad childhood experience because of him. Below is a picture of Ayah which i can picture most in my mind when we were having family dinner last year......

It was such a happy moment when we were together as a family.....I hope we can get together again soon:)

A Working Mommie

Since completed my degree in 2003, i have been working and working until there were times i felt like i have been neglecting my loved ones with time spent on working and travelling. Being on the move almost all the time, i think i should be thankful to Farouk for being patient enough to let me driving/travelling with all those guys without being suspicious or jealous, for taking care of Areej and being there whenever i feel like nagging....complaining about everything especially when i was too tired to think or act after long hours of driving. I can recall one of the craziest trips i ever done when i was travelling to Kota Kinabalu. I took early flight to have a meeting there and went back to Johor Bahru by taking the last flight on the same day. I think i have done it more than once. That was madness, right?

I do travel a lot to many places within Malaysia....Driving, taking flights....Uhh, i have tons of story to tell everytime. As a person who involve in this type of business, i have been to many plants, oil jetties and ports.  Every visit that i went has been always an eye opener for me; for being able to see things with different perspectives, to learn more, to open my heart as doing this job will lead you to meet different-different people with various backgrounds and levels of knowledge; technically and with years of experience.

I do complain sometimes that i did not get time to rest, not finding myself as an organized person as before, my house is always in the mess especially when i travelled for more 3-4 days a shot, leaving Farouk with the little princess, but this is my life. As a wife/mommie, i think i just have to give it a try....To make things in order and also keeping those precious limited minutes for myself, to groom a bit and have time on my own. Being able to think, to do a little bit of cooking as a self taught cook as well as meeting up those old friends whom i left behind and did not get to see for ages.

I have big plan for 2011, that are to be more organized, to be a terrific wife/mommie not forgetting to start back what i have left behind for many-many years....To craft and to be more creative until i can start a small business on my own. I hope to be a certified SHO though. If this year is too packed to take all the three papers, it is going to be next year. I will surely crack my head to pass all with flying colours if God let me. It is worth it.

Anyway, this is a picture of me with my ex-colleague, Fitri....Having bliss while working under the hot sun......

I Dreamt A Dream

I totally forgot all about him after years and years since the day we stopped talking, calling, writing and even seeing each other until last week when i dreamt of him. I kept on thinking about him after that and could not help but beginning to miss him day by day until i finally found him on Facebook last week. He approved me as his friend.

He was my first love. I still remember that i used to adore him so much until i finally got the nerve to send him an Eidulfitri card during my form five. I must admit it was so silly of me but suprisingly, i did not wait long for him to reply. From there we started to become friends.

As one of popular guys at his school, i was getting the same reputation. People started to talk about us. For me, i just careless. What i know is i never really tell him how much i have adored and even loved him from the day i saw him for the first time at my school but i think he must have been totally understood it right from the start when we first met. He whom i knew was a very nice person, cared so much about me until he was willing to see me almost everytime i called and said to him i was in trouble. He cared and listened to my problems even after we completed our SPM in 1994 and started working. I can still recall that he came visiting when i was waitressing at a fast food restaurant. All my colleagues were praising him for his good look and said i was lucky to have him. To be honest, i did not really know what he was to me and i was to him but in my mind, he was simply the boy i have fallen for and out from nowhere, God sent him to me.

Our friendship did not last long though. I did not remember how we felt apart but i remembered that there was a girl he was in love with and she was his childhood sweetheart whom he could not forget. From there we grew our barriers. We finally stopped knowing each other when we were in our upper six. I decided to move on with my life and he with his.

Funny how i still keep the picture we took together when we were in our lower six and it is still in good condition. I saw it when i was picking up some old pictures from one of the drawers. There was also a picture of you, smiling. It was happening long before i even dream about you and finally found you here, online. Looking at it, i hardly recognize you but i am very much thankful to God for letting me to witness that you are now leading your life. Safe and sound. I even laughed at myself for being childish but i learnt something from it. Love yourself before you could love another being and it is all right to lose someone you loved for some unexplainable reasons because somehow God have been fair enough to you that He let that person to be with you for a duration of time before really losing him / her. At least he / she existed in your life before and once has made you happy. Therefore, be grateful about it. I am now sitting at my office desk with Coffee Beans Hazelnut Ice Blended on my right hand side. Smiling for letting go the past. Fly away, Love with all the memories we once shared. Alhamdulillah.
