Just came back from Labuan last week and it was my first trip. Labuan was like a really small town for me, almost like Chaah (Farouk's parents house) and the only thing fascinated me was its deep blue ocean that surround the island. According to my colleague, Siti, Labuan is so small that everybody knows each other. How interesting.
The 1st night. We arrived quite late that evening where i spent the whole of it lying down on the hotel's bed due to the tiredness of travelling from JB to KK and finally arrived in Labuan.
Fashion sense that night was :-
Hijab & Inner, KIP Mart.
Long Sleeve T-Shirt, MNG.
Jeans, Lee.
Flip Flop, Flippers.
We rented a car ; Suzuki SX4 while here for RM100.00 per day. It was considered cheap if you were to compare renting the same car in both Sabah and Sarawak.
It was raining when we had breakfast the next morning (The view is taken from our table at the hotel's cafe).
Mariner Hotel, the hotel we dwelled in for 3 days. It was an old hotel but suprisingly, the room has been renovated with a modern concept and it was totally clean especially the bathroom.
The library.
The 'Dataran Labuan'.
A swordfish arch in the heart of Labuan.
'Ujana Kewangan' or Financial Park, the only shopping mall in Labuan.
There is no shopping spree here in Labuan and Parkson Ria was the only place seemed familiar.
Thank God for KFC!
How fascinating ; 'Pasar Babi' :)
Where they take their ferries to KK.
Apart from liquors and cigarettes, chocalates are another item what Labuan is famous for. These are the only things i bought in Labuan apart from the fridge magnets to bring back to my family in JB.
Do not get me wrong. I did enjoy my first trip to Labuan as it is good to explore new things, new places and meeting different people everytime. The thing is, Labuan was so small and foreign to me as i could not find anything i really like about it apart from the time spent for me to finally reach there, were the reasons i found not so mesmerizing to come back to Labuan the next time.
