It Was Christmas When She Took Her Flight For The First Time...

Hi there! I have been wanting to write a new entry last week but i was tighted up with work, exam and best of all our short yet meaningful family vacation on Christmas. At the moment, i am still tired. After the vacation, i struggled myself to sit for my SHO Paper 2 Exam on the second day and  therefore i will not write long but hoping to write about it in the next entry, promise!

 Christmas @ Suria KLCC

Christmas @ Berjaya Times Square

The main reason i am writing this entry is just to share a picture of Areej while taking flight for the first time on Christmas this year. Alhamdulillah with Allah's permission, we made her dream came true....

Johnsons Care Naturally White UV Lotion, My Skin Saver...

(Credit to Google)
I have not been lucky like some girls who have great skins to be proud of. I am the most tanned compared to my other siblings but alhamdulillah, i can still live with it and always remind myself to be grateful for whatever Allah have determined for me. In Islam, we are taught to be grateful for whatever we have been granted with but at the same time, we must not give up and keep on striving hard for everything we believed is the best for us:)

As for me, i have a very sensetive skin. My skin can easily turned red and patchy whenever the weather is either too hot or too cold. My skin is also can easily get tanned. Whenever i am exposed to the sun directly, my skin will turn brownish right away and you can obviously spot it. Worst, my skin is allergic to most of the sunscreen lotions or UV protection creams.  My solution is to always go for lotions that are dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic but sometimes it does not work either because there was one time when i was at Uni in which i suffered a quite serious skin problem due to wrong choice of a dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic sun block that caused my face to peel off until i cannot even wash my face with water. It was a terrible experience for me and because of that i have become very selective and much careful with what to put onto my skin forbidding it to encounter the same experience all over again.

It may sound cliche but believe it or not, i have got to know about this amazing Johnsons Body Care Naturally White Daily UV Lotion when i read Hanis Zalikha's blog somewhere in October (If i am not mistaken). I have always like Johnsons products and have tried most of its baby care products for both Areej and myself. I have always like its frangrance especially after shower. I like to smell Areej's hair after being shampooed with her Johnsons Baby Shampoo as it smells very nice and i classify it as 'innocent smell' because it is baby-like smell.

I have used this lotion for almost a month now and it suits my skin well. The lotion has a soothing sense and i like to pour it onto my skin after every shower because it leaves my skin soft and supple apart from protecting my skin with its SPF8 protection that deflects harmful rays as well as prevents it from darkening. The Johnsons Body Care Naturally White Daily UV Lotion is also contains natural milk extract and active Vitamin C. Every woman should try it  because it is specially designed for women and does wonder. Now i called it 'My Skin Saver'.

I Love Branded Stuff And Wanted To Give It Away....

This is my new handbag from Espirit

I love to purchase branded stuff such handbags, watches and shoes especially those from Guess and Espirit. Others are United Colors Of Benetton, Elle, Nike, Adidas and even Tommy Hilfiger. They are affordable and i always thought that the designs suited my personality. But after sometimes, i have so many of them i did not wear them all. They are all kept in my store for so long and i only wear them occassionally. Some, i did not remember that i even owned them as if they never existed before.

For that very reason, at last i came out with the idea of giving them away. Of course they are not for free but i am selling them very cheap although some of them are still new and i only wear them like 3-4 times. The prices ranged between RM10-RM100 and below is a picture of branded stuff i owned which i wanted to sell it all.

For those interested, kindly visit http://brandednvintagelovers.blogspot.com/ or simply drop an email at honeyaieda@yahoo.com while stocks last. One more thing, serious buyers please....

How To Cook A Simple 'Nasi Lemak'

Farouk has been requesting that i would cook for him 'Nasi Lemak' someday. As everybody knows, cooking is not my cup of tea but as time goes by, bit by bit, i would say that i have learned few recipes and skills that i found interesting and worth it to try on and  it was 2 weeks ago when i cooked my first 'Nasi Lemak'.

Here is the recipe :-

Ingredients / Method

'Nasi' (Rice)
2 pcs of big onions (Chopped)
1 pc of garlic
6 slices of ginger
6 cups of rice
3 cups of coconut milk
41/2 cups of water
Tad bit of salt

Pour all the coconut milk into the rice pot follow by some water.

Add a little bit of salt and put the ginger slices in between the rice.

Cook the rice as usual.

'Sambal' (Condiment)
1 pc of big onion (Chopped)
3 cloves of garlic
A handful of dried anchovies (To be soaked with water)
1 packed of chilli paste
Tad bit of salt
Tad bit of shrimp paste
Tad bit of oil (Preferably olive oil)
1 cup of water

Heat your non-stick pan and pour the oil onto the pan.

Wait for 2-3 minutes and fry the mixture of onion and garlic together until you can smell the fragrance.

Then add 6 spoons of chilli paste and some salt  and shrimp paste to the mixture and cook it well.

Fry the dried anchovies in a different pan until they are cooked and crunchy.

After the mixture is ready, pour the cooked anchovies onto the pan.

Add the water bit by bit when it is necessary until the condiment is cooked.

Side Dishes
6 pcs of egg (Each one to be boiled and when it is ready, to be cut into two-sided)
A handful of peanuts (To be fried well until they are cooked and crunchy)
A handful of anchovies (To be fried well until they are cooked and crunchy)
1/2 portion of a cucumber (Optional)

It Is Her Birthday!

Areej has just celebrated her 6th birthday last week. It was a simple one but this time we chose to celebrate it at her school, with all her friends. Areej's face was glowing that day and i am glad that she enjoyed her birthday party. Happy birthday, Sayang and good luck in everything you do. You will always have both Papa and Mama by your side, to support and be your shoulder to cry on. I love you with all my heart because you are my only child and at this very moment, i begin to realize that my baby has grown-up...

Labuan

Just came back from Labuan last week and it was my first trip. Labuan was like a really small town for me, almost like Chaah (Farouk's parents house) and the only thing fascinated me was its deep blue ocean that surround the island. According to my colleague, Siti, Labuan is so small that everybody knows each other. How interesting.

The 1st night. We arrived quite late that evening where i spent the whole of it lying down on the hotel's bed due to the tiredness of travelling from JB to KK and finally arrived in Labuan.

Fashion sense that night was :-

Hijab & Inner, KIP Mart.
Long Sleeve T-Shirt, MNG.
Jeans, Lee.
Flip Flop, Flippers.

We rented a car ; Suzuki SX4 while here for RM100.00 per day. It was considered cheap if you were to compare renting the same car in both Sabah and Sarawak.

It was raining when we had breakfast the next morning (The view is taken from our table at the hotel's cafe).

Mariner Hotel, the hotel we dwelled in for 3 days. It was an old hotel but suprisingly, the room has been renovated with a modern concept and it was totally clean especially the bathroom.

The library.

The 'Dataran Labuan'.

A swordfish arch in the heart of Labuan.

'Ujana Kewangan' or Financial Park, the only shopping mall in Labuan.

There is no shopping spree here in Labuan and Parkson Ria was the only place seemed familiar.

Thank God for KFC!

How fascinating ; 'Pasar Babi' :)

Where they take their ferries to KK.

Apart from liquors and cigarettes, chocalates are another item what Labuan is famous for. These are the only things i bought in Labuan apart from the fridge magnets to bring back to my family in JB.

Do not get me wrong. I did enjoy my first trip to Labuan as it is good to explore new things, new places and meeting different people everytime. The thing is, Labuan was so small and foreign to me as i could not find anything i really like about it apart from the time spent for me to finally reach there, were the reasons i found not so mesmerizing to come back to Labuan the next time.

Hada Labo - My New Skin Regime

Assalamualaikum and hi peeps! Today i would like to share with you guys about my new skin regime. It is called Hada Labo from Japan. At the moment, i am using 2 products; AHA + BHA Face Wash and Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Lotion as my daily regime.

The benefits are as follows :-

AHA + BHA Face Wash
  • Gently exfoliates skin to remove impurities, dirt and oil trapped within pores.
  • Polishes away dullness and refin skin texture for visibly clear, smooth and radiant skin.
  • Skin pH is balanced with low irritation.
  • Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colourant.
  • This product should be used with a sunscreen product.
Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Lotion
  • Deeply moisturizes skin and helps to preserve its optimum moisture balance.
  • Replenishes and locks in moisture for complete hydration. Skin feels significantly soft and supple.
  • Helps improve dry and dehydrated skin, leaving it smooth and silky.
  • Skin pH is balanced with low irritation.
  • Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colourant.
I read that Hada Labo is one of the top selling products in Japan especially the Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Lotion which is sold every 4 seconds. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and i can see the different in my skin. I have a combination skin so it tended to be oily on some parts of the face especially at the T-zone area whereas the other parts of it such as my cheeks and lips area are always dry and choppy. After using it, i can see the skin is improving a lot especially it all balanced up now. It does not really feel oily or dry but moisturized and i can feel that my face is now soft and supple whenever i feel like touching it with my bare hands. Good luck!

Someone I Called 'Ibu' (Mother)

In my previous entries, i did mention about Ibu few times. Well today, i feel like telling the world about my Ibu and how special she is because i missed her today.

Most of Ibu's family side, called their mothers 'Ibu'. Even my cousins; Jasha, Norma and Satrea in Germany who are half Malay and half German call their mothers 'Ibu'. For me, the word 'Ibu' sounded softer compared to other names the Malays had called their mothers like 'Mak' and 'Umi'. Do not judge me. This is only my personal opinion. Everybody has their own thoughts and opinions, right?

Now back to Ibu. My Ibu is currently 62 years old. I used to live with her during my first years of marriage but after all, who wants to be left behind when everybody is looking for freedom and independence as a wife and mommie after being married. I want to live on my own, being able to cook my meals and be alone with my family. It is not that i do not like to be around her. I just want to experience how it feels to be starting our lives together both Farouk and i as a married couple by ourselves. On the other hand, i pity Ibu. She has been living on her own (Of course with my other siblings) since Ayah has decided to marry another. Although it was like 7-8 years ago, i can see that Ibu has been traumatized with the whole process and still is. I understand how she felt even after all these years as i was the one who witnessed everything, the sorrowness of her life.

I look upon Ibu as one tough lady. Although her heart laments, she is strong enough to take care of us all until we have finally made it with our careers and two of us ; Door (My elder sister) and i have married. One thing i truly admire about Ibu is her good nature for not doubting people although some may took advantage of her in various ways for that. She may be old but many people commented that she does not even look 50 herself. For me, she is still beautiful in her own way and still very much young at heart as you can almost share everything with her like bestfriends would do.

Ibu, i know that i may hurted you with my words because everytime it always come out straight away from my eccentric mind. To be frank, i did not mean to hurt your feeling but just want to tell you the truth and make you realize that world is not that kind anymore as you would imagine because you never judge and let people fooled you because of your good nature. The truth is, i love you so much and would not want to be the one witnessing the day you are going to leave us all. I pray that everything will turn out your way soon and will give everything i could to make you happy because you have suffered enough. I wish you all the best and will be there for you whenever you need me. Insyallah.

Last but not least, thank you Ibu for bringing me into this beautiful world.Thank you for guiding and comforting me during my rainy days. Thank you for everything. Long live, Ibu. And by the way, i get emotional while writing this.

Universal Studios Singapore (USS)

We went to USS somewhere in March this year. Sorry, it was kind of history to share it with you guys. Let the pictures below describe how fun it was to be in this trip. Hope to come again someday.
