Being Acrophobic

I used to be an aquaphobic but i have beaten it by learning how to swim. But then, few years ago, i learnt that i am also an acrophobic. Do you know what acrophobia is? Acrophobia is when you are afraid of height. Like myself, i cannot even stand a 4 storeys building like Kotaraya Johor Bahru. Although i have gone up to more than 30th floor of PETRONAS's Twin Towers (Tower 2 when i was attending a briefing like 2 years back) and even took a bucket to be on a big tanker in Tanjung Piai for several times but still, the fear has never seemed to fade away. The recent experience was when i took a roller coaster ride with height of 14 storeys building and speed of 90km/hr called Battlestar Galactica at the Universal Studios Singapore. Believe it or not, i even took few other roller coaster rides after that until i went dizzy. One of the scariest was Revenge Of The Mummy. Although it was an indoor ride like Space Mountain, the one i took in Disneyland; both are also in the dark until you cannot see a thing but the Revenge Of The Mummy was totally hellish because the ride went backward and glided us down few meters in completely darkness. Scary! Even scarier compared to Battestar Galactica (Both Cyclon and Human). Taking all these rides have made myself forget for once that i am the person who is afraid of height and when it was time to go to bed that night, the moment i closed my eyes, those scary minutes of gliding through every ride in the USS have started to appear one by one and keep on haunting me again and again repeatedly for quite some time.

I almost forgot that i enjoyed one roller coaster ride at Berjaya Cosmo World Theme Park when Farouk and i were still dating. I was a bit younger then. But if you ask me to experience it once more, now i rather sit back and surrender. I guess i am too old for all these....
